I am super excited to share my review with you today on the last day of blog tour for Hear Me Cry by E.F Wharton…..Which is out now

A nun hiding a chilling secret. A literary agent, Katie Kovacs is ghost-writing her mysterious memoir, and delves into her grisly past. What secrets will be revealed?

Heather Parnell runs away from a commune in the 1970s and in a disastrous catalogue of events, is involved in the death of three elderly people. She becomes the focus of a media storm, who name her, The Commune Murderer.

Katie has her own demons. Haunted by an abduction she witnessed as a child, Katie believes she is being stalked. Her six-year-old son went missing years before, and Katie was convinced her husband was responsible.

Will she ever find out what really happened to Oliver? Will she finally unearth the truth about Britain’s most notorious female killer?

SHE INVITED HER INTO HER HEAD, NOW SHE CAN’T GET HER OUT

My Thoughts

Hanging my head in shame I have to admit that I have never read one of the author’s books before. Even though I have a few of them on my moutain pile! After reading this beauty I am wishing I had read one sooner! Hear Me Cry is exactly what a psychological thriller is all about. I was totally wrapped up in the world of Heather and Katie has we follow a story with chapters alternating between them.

With a shit hot twist this book has left my head spinning…..how the hell did I not see that coming! So, so clever! It has totally blown me away. The author drip feeds you information, keeping you captiavated and wanting to know more. With some rather uncomfortable moments that will make you squirm. Yes the thriller side of it is DARK……which I loved you know me, the darker the better. this story is twisted to say the least. But at the same time making you feel empathy with the characters.

I particularly loved the scences set in the past….where the author weaves a story a full on edge of your seat reading which takes you on a rollercoaster ride. With twists and turns and loads of OMG moments. I lost track of how many times I forgot to breath while reading this. It is absolutely brilliant.

Be prepared not to put it down until the very last page Hear Me Cry is simply mind blowing. I cannot recommend it enough. Giving it all the stars.

Massive thank you to Zoe for a copy and for inviting me to take part on this epic tour.
