#CanariesInTheCoalMine by Ross Greenwood #BookReview @greenwoodross

I am super excited to share my review with you today for Canaries in the Coal Mine by Ross Greenwood……Which is out now!

She begged for two promises.
The first was to save a life.
The second was to take one…

Life changed in the blink of an eye when a man died.
My best friend, Angelica, and I entered a hell on earth: every day was a battle to survive.
I served my sentence, but she had to stay.
Alone, with Angelica’s promises ringing in my ears, I struggled to pick up the pieces of my life while looking into her past.
Stepping into a nightmare world, I met a man so evil, he’d ruined countless lives.

Now I have to decide. Can I keep my second promise?

Ross Greenwood’s modern thriller is a story you’ll never forget, with characters you’ll always remember, in a place where gender is nothing… and everything.

My Thoughts

Oh my freaking god….where do I begin? I wasn’t expecting that. I went into this story not having a clue what it was about. Now I am like OMG what just happened there. It is absolutely brilliant you seriously need to read it for yourself. It’s an addictive, clever, well written story and a subject matter that I believe needs to be spoken about more often and freely. Ross Greenwood has taken a risk with this story and for me it is his best book to date.

I cannot begin to tell you how moving this story is with characters that I became to love. The more I read the deeper the story got and the deeper I found myself falling in love with the characters. They are what makes this book what it is.

From start to finish I was taken on a whirlwind ride. You can feel the emotion and empathy through the authors writing skills.Greenwood uses his work and life experience from prisons and pumps it in all into this exhilarating read. Like all of his books there is humour which will make you laugh out loud. But it also pulls at your heartstrings. I was totally swept away. It is a mind blowing read and an eye opener. I couldn’t put it down.

Canaries in the Coal Mine certainly packs a punch and left me gutted that I have finished it! It is a must read….you won’t regret it. All the stars from me although I would give it 10 gold stars if I could….. definitely the best book I have read in 2022! It is a pure winner.

Massive thank you to Ross for a copy. All thoughts are my own and not biased in anyway.
