My Thoughts
This isn’t my normal everyday read and I was drawn to The Gifts by the cover and the mention of fallen angel in the blurb. Flicking through the book has you do. I saw the most beautiful illustrations and knew I just had to buy it!
The book itself is absolutely gorgeous and the story is captivating. Set in 1840 we follow a story that alternatives between five different womens POV with short and beautiful written chapters.
I love that this book mentions places that I know in Shropshire. The author sets the scene for an enchanting, unique story that’s full of mystery.
If your looking for something different that takes you back in time this is the book for you.
