#BookReview #TheMidnightMan by Caroline Mitchell @emblabooks @Caroline_writes

I am super excited to share my review with you today for The Midnight Man by Caroline Mitchell, which is out today

If you open your door to the Midnight Man, hide with a candle wherever you can. Try not to scream as he draws near, because one of you won’t be leaving here…

On Halloween night in Slayton, five girls go to Blackhall Manor to play the Midnight Game. They write their names on a piece of paper and prick their fingers to soak it in blood. At exactly midnight they knock on the door twenty-two times – they have invited the Midnight Man in.

It was supposed to be a game, but only four girls come home.

Detective Sarah Noble has just returned to the force, and no one knows more about Blackhall Manor than her. It’s a case that will take Sarah back to everything she’s been running from, and shake her to the core.

Will she be ready to meet the Midnight Man?

My Thoughts

Holy Freaking Hell…..This book…..OMG where do I start! it is soooo incredibly good. I am a massive fan of Caroline’s having read all of her books. I love all of her books. But this one is without a doubt my new favourite.

Caroline shows a new darker side to her story telling. Making this her darkest book to date. Being a fan of horror, I found the mix of thriller and horror in this story bloody brilliant!

Set at Halloween we met a group of girls who go to Blackhall Manor to play The Midnight Game. Caroline sets the scene for a pulse racing entertaining read. It is a brilliant setting and plot, full of twists and turns This book is simply spot on! love love love it.

The Midnight Man is dark, creepy and terrifying and ticked all the boxes for me. Grabbing me from the very first book it doesn’t let you come up for breath until the very end. This is the perfect Halloween read that I cannot recommend enough. Giving it all the stars.

I cannot wait to see what Caroline comes up with next.
