Liar Liar by Mel Sherratt #BlogTour @writermels @AvonBooksUK

I am super excited to share my review with you today for Liar Liar by Mel Sherratt on Blog Tour

The truth can be a dangerous thing…

When a young boy falls from a balcony in a block of flats, DS Grace Allendale witnesses the shocking aftermath of the tragic event. But strangely, no one will admit to seeing anything – and the parents will only tell the police that it was an accident.
Determined to sort the truth from the lies, Grace is thrown into a case that takes her to the darkest corners of the criminal world – and strikes closer to home than she could have ever imagined…

A gripping and pacey thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the moment you turn the first page. The perfect read for fans of Martina Cole.

My Thoughts

Mel Sherratt is back with the third book in the DS Grace Allendale series. And she is also back The Estate style too! I am a massive fan of Mel’s writing and I love her Estate series. Liar Liar is just that woven in with police procedure…..OMG I LOVE IT.

This story is gritty with a capital G when we follow Grace on a case that takes us into the criminal world. Like any other gangland story you have the good guys and the bad guys. I loved Ruby and my heart went out to her. You can feel the terror and emotion she goes through she keep herself her daughter safe.

There is some excellent character build up has the story alternatives between the past and present building up one hell of a tense story. This story had me on the edge of of my seat from start to finish. It is full of twists and turns with plenty of OMG moments. There are some uncomfortable scenes and the tension build up is freaking awesome.

We get to know Grace more has we see the emotional side of her has she deals with the case. Then there is the ending which is nicely wrapped up. But OMFG Grace! what is going on there?! I so wasn’t expecting that. I cannot wait to find out what happens there.

This is without a doubt my favourite book by Mel…. you grit lit fans are seriously in for a treat. I cannot recommend it enough giving it all the stars.
